The Rosie Gag is recommended for horses that have a lot of natural rate, those that lean on the bit, or that need more flex. Sweet iron mouth encourages salivation to keep the mouth supple. The dogbone center and twisted wire mouth add tongue pressure when needed. The mouthpiece slides on the cheek rings giving a little play before the leverage takes effect.
