The MBL Short Shank is flat stainless steel with a slight curve and has the patented Independent Swivel Cheek. This means the purchase, mouthpiece, and shank all have separate movement for more refined communication. The mouthpiece is attached to the cheek with a stack that allows a small amount (1/8″) of slide, adding a little extra tongue relief. The short purchase is angled away from the cheek. The whole design is geared toward comfort and performance with clear communication.
